Grimen Camping was established in 1951 and is located just 20 minutes from Bergen city centre, with a beautiful lake right in the backyard. Here, you’re welcome with a motorhome, caravan, or tent—and can combine nature experiences, hiking trails, and easy bus access to the city.

Grimen was established in 1951 with the aim of creating a cosy retreat for people like us—those who love life on the road and being close to nature. Our location is just a quick 20-minute drive from Bergen city centre, and a beautiful lake forms part of our backyard.
At our campsite, we warmly welcome everyone who shares our passion for travel. Whether you arrive with a caravan, motorhome, or simply as a weekend hiker, you’ll find comfortable cabins with us. The most adventurous campers can pitch their tents on the grass by the lake for a wonderful night outdoors, with views of the majestic mountains that surround us.
A bus stop is located right outside the campsite, making it easy for those who wish to explore Bergen. Still, we highly recommend the many hiking trails in the surrounding area for an authentic nature experience.
Since 2022, Grimen Camping Bergen has been under new management, and we look forward to welcoming you to a place that is part of Bergen’s rich travel history.
